Every time I've had a problem, it's treated as though I'm a huge nuisance and as someone that has had an extremely tough time with mental health over the years, their absolute dismissal of any concerns I have borders on negligent at best. I always come off the phone feeling a lot lower than when I called. I have had important appointments cancelled, prescriptions lost, and when I've become upset with errors on their part, receptionists are noticeably irritated. If you're someone that needs to rely on the system to take you seriously and treat you with compassion due to mental health, I would highly recommend looking for a different surgery. It's a shame because there are two or three GPs there who are wonderful at their job and don't make me feel like I'm a huge burden.
With the right doctors my experience is great here. There is one mental health doctor whos great , very kind and caring and a new ex paramedic who is lovely and very thorough with checks. I have always had the best help from here barr one female doctor. Including some staying late just to help.
I've been registered with several GPs across the country over the past few years, but this practice is 100% my favourite, the doctor I see there is incredibly helpful, and has helped me to no end over the past 3-4 years that I've been registered here. Would 100% recommend to anyone.
Poor appointment process, creating inefficiency and frustration. Phone consultation with doctor - you need to come in - me Im away at the moment, can you book me in two days doctor - we only do same day, call back Thursday. Call reception on Thursday who insist I need another phone consultation as there are no notes saying to come in and refuse to take my word on it. Now wasted a doctors time on an unnecessary additional phone consultation slot that could be used for someone else...
