My mum's service was on 15th October 2018 and as a family we cannot praise Smith's Funeral Directors enough. Extremely professional and such empathy shown. I can not say enough good things about Smiths. They handled my mother-in-laws funeral with such care, compassion and professionalism. They handled every detail and helped guide us through this tough transition putting us all at ease.
Well this is a small gesture of thank you to Smiths of Peterborough nearly five months after meeting them. I'm not one for adding reviews, but this is a reflection on the standard of humanity in one of most traumatic experiences of my life. While I have little to add to the strength of feeling and pragmatic assessment in the reviews below I can add that if you ask for a recommendation to the people you speak to before you meet Smiths do not be surprised to hear words on the lines of, 'I'm not supposed to say this but try Smiths'. I'm being deliberately vague on who these people are to ensure no one gets told off/knuckles rapped for saying the right thing when it's needed the most. Based on these gilt edged recommendations and my first meeting with Smiths I didn't consider the other Funeral Directors. I remain eternally grateful.
