Whittlesea station does what it says on the tin. Will be getting a much needed update in 2019 with a footbridge and ticket machines.
The station is fine but needs updating. Also needs a footbridge over as you can miss your train if you don't arrive 15 mins before your departure time. This would be for journeys toward Peterborough. No ticket station so tickets have to be bought in your train. Free parking and plenty of it. There are plans to update station and add a bridge but not till about 2019.
