Still waiting for an answer to my question, have to mark a star in order to post this comment!
Zero stars- I do not recommend this hospital to anyone; only the ward nurses that look after you just before and after were nice. NHS patients are treated like rubbish, they talk down to you like you are a child (doesnt matter if you are an adult, have a degree or a decent job, if its not enough to pay privately then you are not worth their manners). They constantly ask you if you are NHS or private throughout the process. After coming around from the operation I was spoken to rudely by the lady who was trying to wake me up, I found it difficult to wake up and was in a lot of pain but could still hear their voices, the lady was angry and making nasty remarks, when I tried to communicate that I was in pain a doctor in the background scoffed off my remark and said to the lady even after anesthesia, staff talk about you and make judgments as if your making it up, very belittling. My GP asked if I could ring the hospital just to see if they could fax some information they needed as whatever they posted hadnt arrived for over a week and we were depending on it for a prescription and the doctors response at fitzwilliam was theres no point ringing, Ive done my bit, we dont fax anything over, he hadnt stuck to the original treatment plan as we agreed before operation even telling me he couldnt prescribe my medication whilst I was in hospital and told me to go to my gp. Never written a review in my life, guess one is never too old to do so. I believe the only positive reviews on here are mainly from private patients some of who have forked out over 12,000 for a hip replacement or staff members... really disappointed, no empathy in this system.
best hospital ever runs like a military operation
Horrible practice. Never have been to a worse place. Plus first.. You need to have ambulance despatched at all in order for someone to help you. I phoned 3 times and it did not arrive!! You should all be ashamed of such practices. What if I would lost my life? Now... I would rather die then ring you people for help! Hell no!! I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. If you can go elsewhere.
Careing patient staff; run of their feet; this includes the reception staff. lovely surroundings making you feel relaxed and confident. My recent appointments and procedure were all I could have wished for. Thank you to everyone I came in contact with.
