We ordered the cod & chips, pie & chips and bangers & mash.Didn't need to wait to long for our orders, everything was hot & fresh, the cod was the star of the day.The veg could have been more varied but it saved a lot of timeThe staff were friendly and accommodating and would have got a bigger tip if I had more cash on me.
This place is amazing. The food has the authentic English taste and is delicious. The staff are so kind and calm. They are happy to speak and love talking to their customers. Just an amazing experience overall and I am definitely going back in the future.
Great to find a really good cod and chips practically in the centre of town. The restaurant was full of happy people on their Xmas office lunch by the look of things. Ordered takeaway, cooked fresh, generous portions although seemed a little pricey to my New Zealand wallet. Will go back to warm my tummy on a cold winters day.
I can recommend this F&S shop. The batter on my fish was light and crispy and the chips golden and perfect. It was presented in a brown cardboard box that kept the contents nice and hot with cutlery of wood knife and fork. The adjoining public house has the same owner and if desired the fish and chips can be eaten there.
Great fish, quite like the batter and we'll presented in sturdy cardboard boxes instead of environment harming styrofoam containers! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Even it's adverted as takeaway there is a couple of tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the nice food. The price is a little bit higher than traditional places but you get what you pay for!
