What a beautiful little gem in the city centre. Tavan is one of those restaurants you can easily pass on the outside and mistake it for something else like a hotel but go inside and you are greeted by the welcoming staff, an impressive menu and fantastic flavours from Morocco. The aubergine dip tastes fresh along with a trio of other flavours all accompanied with plenty of home made bread. Main course is a meat feast all worth the wait and some dishes served in traditional Moroccan pots. They offer Belly Dancing every first Thursday of the month and reservations are recommended for a weekend or Friday evening booking. Definitely a new favourite for PE1

Excellent meal for 7 people for a birthday. Relaxed pace for eating, just right amount of waiter attention, wonderful presentation of hot meat meze and I had a beautifully cooked Kuzu Guvec. Would recommend
The service was brilliant, staff are absolutely excellent. The food, however, has dropped considerably in quality and quantity too. Don't lose customers by changing what brought you success initially!
Just ate here on a Tuesday evening, very delicious food. Two of us are vegetarian and we both had the mixed plate which was great but there was also a moussaka and a tagine, plus plenty of sides and starters that were veggie.Great service, attentive, friendly and quick. Will definitely be visiting again!We booked a table (there were four of us) but there would have been space had we walked in.
