Dated decor, comfortable but no draws or decent amount of hanging space for clothing.
Stayed for 2 nights this week and was very impressed! The hotel is going through a renovation at the moment and I was lucky enough to get one of the new rooms. The room was big, clean, warm and the bed was very comfortable. A nice big TV where all channels worked (shock!). Some areas of the hotel looked a little old but you can see a lot of work is being done to get this up to date! I ate in the restaurant one night. Food was tasty (but wasn't much on the plate unfortunately!). Breakfast was simple (full English, a few pastries and fruit) but OK. Plenty of parking available (don't forget to register your car). When all renovations are completed, this will be a great hotel! I'd definitely recommend The Boathouse pub next door (just across the car park) their food was amazing!
Not very nice at all. Went for a meal service was rubbish, waitress had a dirty top on and food was not good
Visited for 3 nights this weekend. The staff on the reception weren't overly helpful. Don't like that you have to pay 25 in advance for the chocolate, crisps and drinks that are in the room.....all of which are extortionately priced. We came back to our room on Saturday and weren't able to get in as the key cards wouldn't work. We had to hang around for over an hour and weren't even given a complimentary drink. The rest of our stay involved getting our key card reprogrammed every time we wanted to get back in the room. Very disappointed generally and will revert back to our usual hotel in future.
Lovely quiet area, bed was comfy and shower was amazing. Couldn't connect to WiFi at all so that sucks. However, only staying one night so not too much of a problem. Breakfast included if you pay 10, tastes good and has lovely view of the lake!
